What to Expect at the First Exam

Welcome to our practice! Our staff recognizes that an appointment in a new doctor’s office can cause uneasiness in some patients. Dr. Cari will help alleviate any worry by providing a phone call prior to the initial consultation to answer any questions you or your child might have.

At the consultation, the patient will have digital photographs of their smile and teeth taken, as well as a panoramic x-ray and measurements of his or her mouth. All images are taken digitally, substantially reducing radiation compared to conventional imaging.

After these initial procedures, the patient and accompanying caregiver will meet with the Treatment Coordinator and Dr. Cari in a private office. They will discuss concerns you may have, a diagnosis, and provide advice on whether treatment is recommended at that time. If treatment is recommended, we will also discuss approximate treatment length, insurance contributions, and financial information. You will leave the appointment with a folder containing the information discussed for your reference.

    Orthodontic fees are variable based on the patient’s diagnosis. We do participate in most major dental insurance plans (listed below) and can maximize the benefits for you. We also offer in-house financing, as well as pay-in-full discounts, and a no money down option. There is never a fee for an initial exam, panoramic x-ray, or consultation.
